The influencer, sports broadcaster and former p** star got engaged to the Swedish chef in March 2019, before they legally t-ied the knot in the kitchen of their first home on 10 June 2019. They were due to have their wedding ceremony on 10 June last year, but it was cancelled due to Co-vid-19, and now the pair have gone their separate ways.
Announcing the b**ak!p on social media, the Lebanese-born star said they went through almost a year of therapy together but couldn’t make the marriage work. She said: “We can confidently say we gave it out all in making our marriage work but after almost a year of therapy and ef*rts we are walking away knowing we have a friend in each other, and that we truly tri*d.
“We will always love and respect each other because we know that not one isolated in!ide!t caused our sp!it, but rather, a culmination of unresolvable, fundamental differences that no one can blame the other for. “We are closing this chapter with no regrets and both starting our own, separately, but connected through incredible family, friends and our love for our dogs.
“This has been long overdue, but we are glad we took our time and gave it our all, and can walk away saying we tried our absolute ha***st.” The 28-year-old previously married her high school boyfriend in 2011, before separating in 2014 and divorcing in 2016.
It was during this period that she launched her p*** career, causing controversy in the Middle East after she performed s** scenes in a hijab. She quickly became the number one rated star on P***h*b, but she has since revealed that her headline-grabbing three months in the industry were the w-orst of her life.
Speaking on Alexandra Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast in March, she said: “I started di!associa*ing and just compartmentalising and pretending like things never happened to the point where I didn’t talk about p** for the first like three years after, I just went quiet and never spoke about it.
“Every time I did an interview that was the one thing they were not allowed to ask me about, I ref*sed to acknowledge that I did it and it wasn’t until therapy that I realised how detrimental that is.” Speaking about the apartment she was living in at the peak of her viral fame, she said: “It was di!gust*ng, it was so bad, it was cockroach infested, it was the wo**t time of my entire life.
“I had two million followers on Instagram, everyone thought I was living it up, that was not the case.”
