Simone Biles is currently on a jaw-dro*ping winning stre-ak as she inches closer to competing at this year’s Olympics in Tokyo—and her boyfriend has been right there to cheer her on. Following her histo!ic U.S. Gymnastics Championship win, Simone Biles’ boyfriend Jonathan Owens posted a sweet message of love and support for his “lil champ.”
With every additional win, Simone Biles continues to defy gra*ity and the odds, as she is now considered the great-est gymnast in the entire history of the sport. Over the weekend, she became the first woman in history to win a recording-setting seven all-around gymnastics titles—and her boyfriend, Houston Texans player Jonathan Owens, couldn’t wait to express his love to her following her amazing accomplishment.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Jonathan wrote: “What an amazing experience. First time getting to watch you compete in person and you didn’t disa**oint. It’s so cool that I get to watch you do what you love , and be the best at that!! I’m so proud of you my lil champ.
Trials up next and you already know I’m there!! Love you baby.” As we previously report-ed, Simone Biles has won every all-around competition she has entered dating back to 2013. She was previously ti!d with Clara Schroth Lomady, who won her titles between 1945 and 1952. Now she is tied with Alfred Jochim, for most wins by any American.
Simone spoke about her his*ori! win, saying “It’s really emotional, especially going into my second time doing an Olympic run. It’s really cra-zy.”
You’ll recall that late last month, she also added another historical title to her legendary resume, while competing at the U.S. Classic. During the competition, she became the first woman to ever land the Yurchenko Double Pike Vault—widely considered the ha*dest vault in all of gymnastics.
