Rapper Dr. Dre seems to be escalating his w-ar for his estate aga!nst his soon-to-be ex-wife Nicole Young. After a lot of back and forth, both in the press and in court, it seems as if Dre is finally ready to put his foot down – and maybe teach his wife a lesson about the future.
It seems as if the generosity Dre had at the beginning of these proceedings has run out. It’s been a ba-ttle that has seen his wife even issuing subpoenas to women that she cla!med were his mistresses.
Young apparently reached out to 3 women, including Jillian Speer, a singer, entrepreneur Kili Anderson, and Crystal Rogers aka Crystal Sierra, also known as the “Latin Queen of Hip-Hop.”
Sierra filed a motion to have the subpoena shut down, cla!ming it is asked for information from her that was “irrelevant to the matter in d!spute and are not reasonably calculated to lead to the discovery of admissible evidence.”
Sent September 11, 2020, she asked the court to qu-ash the subpoena and prevent her from sitting for a deposition. Her motion also indicated she has no information about the prenup nor that would help Nicole Young in her quest over her pre-nuptial agreement between her and Dre.
In a flurry of other acc-usations, according to site The Bl-ast, Sierra also said Young was simply trying to get information to further “enhance the value of the Youngs’ community property.” Rogers knew some California law of her own which she flexed, while seemingly acknowledging the affair.
“Further, any extra-marital affair would be irrelevant because California is a no-fa-ult d!vorce state and “in a pleading or proceeding for di-ssolution of marriage or legal separation of the parties, including depositions and discovery proceedings, evidence of specific acts of misconduct is improper and inadmissible.”
Things got much more serious when Larry Chatman, who founded Dre’s company Record One with him a number of years ago, accu-sed Nicole of grand theft after she wrote checks that allowed her to withdraw almost $400k combined from the business accounts. Now, it seems as if Dre is agreeing with his long-time business partner and wants the police to intervene – while he wa-rns her the money flow is soon to be shut off.
According to TMZ, Dre’s filed a police report that sounds similar to Chatman’s cla!ms. $385,029 was embezzled from one of his companies and he says that Nicole Young is the embezzler. He also said that when his almost ex-wife was asked about it during court depositions, she plead the 5th. Her lawyers have previously cla!med that Nicole was entitled to the money and has done nothing wrong.
Also exclusive to TMZ, “Once this case is resolved and Dre discontinues his current practice of paying for all of her expenses, Nicole is going to have to learn to tighten that belt.” Dre’s been supporting her via paying her expenses of $293,306 a month but according to TMZ, the “court-approved schedule establishing the factors in computing spousal support entitles Nicole to somewhere between $81,002 and $138,622 a month,” considerably less than the $2 million she asked for.
